Bio

Frankie “Midnight” Occhiogrosso is a keyboardist, composer, and educator with a versatile performance career across instruments and styles. A lifelong pianist who began lessons at age seven, he performs actively throughout New York and New Jersey, regularly sitting in on sessions and gigging on piano, keyboards, and pipe organ. He enjoys working in all musical settings, from jazz and pop to funk, church music, and everything in between.

Frankie double-majored in Jazz Studies and Communication at Mason Gross School of the Arts and Rutgers University, where he studied with Orrin Evans and Bill O’Connell and developed a deep foundation in improvisation, ear training, composition, and performance. He performs original music, collaborates widely across genres, and has composed and scored music for multiple dance works. In addition to performing and producing, he has been teaching for many years and brings real-world experience into thoughtful, high-quality lessons tailored to each student’s goals, level, and learning style.
